Amid her war with Scooter Braun, Taylor Swift brought up her beef with Kim Kardashian and Kanye West. Does that mean that their former drama will be revived as well now?
At this point, both Kim and Kanye are staying silent about the whole thing despite the fans being shocked Taylor name-dropped them in her letter exposing music manager Scooter Braun as a ‘bully.’
One source tells HollywoodLife that Kim was sure their feud was a closed chapter and she would rather not ‘get involved in another public drama’ with Swift.
They went on to mention that Kim was ‘very happy that their feud is over and doesn’t want to engage again.’
As you may remember, it all started back in 2009 when Kanye simply went on stage to interrupt Taylor’s acceptance speech at the MTV VMAs to say that Beyonce was who really deserved the award.
The feud was reignited in 2016 when the rapper released the song ‘Famous’ which includes the lyrics: ‘I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex. Why? I made that b**ch famous.’
And that’s not all! The music video also featured a Taylor look-alike without any clothes on.
Taylor clapped back at Kanye during her Grammy acceptance speech that year but Kim came to her husband’s defense, releasing a phone conversation recording in which Kanye asks Taylor if she’s Okay with him adding those lyrics in and she accepts.
Now, after Braun who, among other stars, also manages Kanye bought her whole music catalog, things seem tense between Taylor and Kimye again.
She mentioned Scooter and Kanye being friends in her post slamming the manager but when it comes to Kim, she would ‘prefer that Kanye not be pulled into anything, as she wants to keep their lives positive and drama-free.’
