Amanda Bynes Posts Video With New Fiance, Apologizes For Calling Celebrities Ugly
Less than one week after announcing that she was engaged to the love of her life, Amanda Bynes has introduced her Instagram fans to her fiance, Paul Michael. The What I Like About You alum posted a video of herself with Michael on Thursday, and in the clip she introduces him before revealing that she is one year sober.
“Hey everyone, this is Paul my fiancé,” says the 33-year-old, as Michael says, “What’s up!”
“I’m so lucky, as you can see he’s drop dead gorgeous. He’s also the best person on the face of the earth,” said Bynes. “I just wanted to post a video to say I’m sorry to everyone who I called ugly on Twitter. I was feeling so ugly at the time and it was really hard for me to express myself at the time because I was so drugged out and now I’ve remained sober for over a year. Same with Paul.”
She finished her message by telling her fans that she loved them, and she is so happy now. The She’s The Man star says she feels like she got what is hers, and that is Michael.
As fans know, Bynes has made headlines in recent years because of her struggles with addiction and mental health issues. In 2013, Bynes insulted close friends and numerous celebrities on Twitter by calling them ugly, including Drake, Chrissy Teigen, Rihanna, Jay-Z, RuPaul, and Barack and Michelle Obama.
As Bynes appears to be taking positive steps in her personal life, she is also looking to get back to work and put her new degree from the Fahion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM) to good use. She checked in with fans on her Instagram Story earlier this week, and Bynes shared her desire to design her own fashion collection.
Bynes said that she was at lunch with her FIDM advisor, and she was looking forward to designing her own line. She added that she was hopeful her new collection will be available online in the near future.
Amanda Bynes didn’t give any more details about her new fashion line, but it has some amazing potential. Her FIDM advisor Kathi Gilber told Paper magazine after Bynes graduated with her Associate’s of Art degree in Merchandise Product Development that the actress was a student that all of the instructors loved.
“Instructors love her. Love her,” said Gilbert, adding that professors “wished all of their students could be like her; she’s smart, she participates in class — she’s an amazing student.”
After her graduation, insiders told Us Weekly that Bynes was doing great and working on herself, and she took some time off to focus on her well-being by checking into rehab in April 2019.
A source claimed that Bynes has been spending her time reading, exercising, and sketching for her line clothing line, but she was putting her needs first.
