Nelly And Shantel Jackson Might Get Engaged Soon After Six Years Together
Nelly is seriously thinking about making a big move in his personal life. After six years of dating, the hip-hop music star is thinking of marrying his lady love, Shantel Jackson.
The "Country Grammar (Hot Sh*t)" artist made the revelation while on Dancing with the Stars where he is competing alongside pro Daniella Karagach. The rapper says the love is real and Shantel is an essential part of his life.
He stated: "I would not want my life to not have Shantel in it. We've been seeing each other for five or six years. Any time you can connect with somebody like that, it works out for the long run. She's sweet, beautiful, and the more we got to know each other, she's just as beautiful inside."
Nelly continued: "We have so much in common. She grew up in the inner city, she knows what it’s like to go through certain things in life when you grow up in the inner city... She's very driven, very passionate about the things she does and she doesn't accept anything but wanting to be better. And that's what I love. That's exactly what I love. We're working towards it. When we know, I'll tell you."
Followers think that he has made some great points about building a strong foundation in a relationship. Some fans also said that it was time for him to do the right thing and take the relationship to the next level.
Nelly was recently mocked on Saturday Night Live over his deal with Budweiser. However, he took it with a lot of class.
He stated: "I love doing SNL. I mean, the thing about SNL is nobody’s off-limits. It’s not anything that you take personal. They made fun of Barack Obama. So, if they could make fun of the first Black president, Nelly is definitely in the realm. It’s not a problem. You actually take it as a badge of honor. Like, they’re historic."
Nelly is a bit worried about the situation right now with the COVID-19 pandemic and its effects on his musical career.
He shared: "It's kind of messed up, because of COVID. I really wish the clubs were open and things were in a different manner and people could get out and have fun to this record. But regardless, you'll be able to jam in your house."
Do you think Nelly will propose soon?
