Real Housewives of Orange County star Emily Simpson is coming back for her sophomore season – along with Gina Kirschenheiter – and the former newbie may have just let the premiere date for Season 14 slip during a conversation on social media. Seasons 10 through 13 all premiered in either June or July, so when can fans expect to see new episodes this time around?
According to OK! Magazine, late last week a fan asked Simpson on Instagram about when Season 14 will air, and she responded “This summer! Most likely July.”
Simpson and Kirschenheiter will be back along with veterans Tamra Judge, Vicki Gunvalson, Kelly Dodd, and Shannon Beador. And, this year, Braunwyn Windham-Burke – a mother of seven – will be joining the cast.
During the hiatus, Simpson has been struggling with arthritis and weight gain, which has contributed to her battle with depression. She told fans earlier this year that she had gained 15-20 pounds during the past nine months because she quit working out regularly with her trainer and “basically stopped moving.”
Despite some run-ins with online trolls who live to body shame, Simpson has continued to advocate for body positivity. She is still in a lot of pain because of her arthritis, but she recently got back into the gym in an effort to start moving again and to get healthy.
Simpson has shared some videos of recent workout sessions, and she captioned one of her posts by writing, “I had so much pain in my left hip and leg last night I could barely sleep. I woke up this morning, and the first thing I wanted to do was cancel with my trainer. But I didn’t. I showed up. I showed up on time, and I did everything he asked. I cried a little. And took lots of breaks. But I did it.”

I’ll be 100% honest right now… I’m currently at the gym …I just did 30 minutes on the elliptical, and I’m in so much pain I could cry. I want to just go home and put sweats on and get in bed and cover my head with the blanket. . I’ve gained about 15-20 pounds over the past 9 months because I quit working out with my trainer regularly and I basically stopped moving period. My arthritis was bothering me so much and I was in so much pain, I became depressed and stopped moving at all. However, the extra weight has exacerbated my arthritis making it worst and now I’m in even MORE pain, and my clothes don’t fit. I’ve done more damage to myself by NOT moving. . So I’m going to stick it out today. I’m going to lift some weights. Im going to come back tomorrow morning and work out with my trainer. I’m going to walk more and I’m going to eat healthier because I want to be pain free. I want to run and play with my kids and I want my pants to fit again! . Just remember my friends we are all on a journey. We are all struggling at some point and we are all trying to be the best version of ourselves and the best moms we can. I’m just trying to get healthy so I can move again without pain and I can sit on the floor with my kids and I can play at the park ❤️❤️ #rhoc #momlife #journey #womeninspiringwomen #confidence #fit #imtrying #arthritis #chronicpain #letsmove
She also told fans that watching videos of her workouts has helped her see where she put on weight, but Simpson can also tell that she still has good muscle tone in her arms and back. She added that consistency and will power will help her get back to where she used to be, and her goal is to “move move move.”
The ladies of RHOC are currently filming Season 14, and as Simpson revealed, new episodes should return to Bravo in July.
