Celebrities put on their best face when they appear in front of the cameras, and as one of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills , Erika Jayne is often seen perfectly made up. But going make-up free on social media is a growing trend amongst the stars of Hollywood. While it is great to see what these celebs look like without layers of makeup, their natural shots are not always met with approval by fans.

Jayne, for example, was recently trolled on Twitter for a make-up free photo she previously shared on social media.

The fan posted the image with the goal of shaming Jayne for how she usually appears on the show, and she immediately fired back with a clever response of her own.

“Actually this is me after a facial with no makeup,” Jayne responded. “And no, Im not ashamed to be 47.”

Jayne, of course, is not the first celebrity to go without makeup in public. According to Us Magazine , a number of celebrities have shown fans what they look like before getting all glammed up for the cameras. This includes the likes of Kim Kardashian, Kate Hudson, Emma Stone, Katie Holmes, and Gigi Hadid.

Apart from clapping back at the haters, Jayne is currently at the start of a new season of RHOBH . So far, the biggest story this season has been Lisa Vanderpump and Dorit Kemsley’s infamous Puppygate scandal, which has already ended friendships and caused a lot of drama .

But as far as Jayne is concerned, she recently cautioned fans to withhold their judgement until the rest of the season plays out.

For her part, Vanderpump has been isolating herself from the rest of the cast. Not only did she leave the season premiere before her co-stars walked the red carpet, but Vanderpump also told producers on Twitter that they should fire a few of the cast members, including Dorit Kemsley, Erika Jayne, Teddi Mellencamp, Lisa Rinna, and Kyle Richards.

Season 9 of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs Tuesday nights on Bravo.
