Demi Lovato Would Have Been 7 Years Sober If She Didn’t Relapse — Read Her Inspiring Message
Demi Lovato is lucky to be alive after her relapse last summer. The pop star took to Instagram to reveal that had she not slipped up in 2018, she would be seven years sober today.
The 26-year-old posted a message to her Instagram Story that read: “Today I would’ve had 7 years sober. I don’t regret going out because I needed to make those mistakes but I must never forget that’s exactly what they were: mistakes.”
She then offered an inspiring message to any of her fans that may be struggling with sobriety.
“Grateful that AA/NA never shuts the door on you no matter how many times you have to start your time over. I didn’t lose 6 years; I’ll always have that experience but now I just get to add to that time with a new journey and time count. If you’ve relapsed and are afraid to get help again, just know it’s possible to take that step towards recovery. If you’re alive today, you can make it back. You’re worth it.”
Lovato never returned to the LA mansion she overdosed in that is currently on the market. She has a new luxurious condominium in Century City.
The new digs sit on the 22nd floor of a gorgeous high-rise that boasts amenities like a private park, game room, screening room, and lounge.
Speaking of a change of surroundings, the ‘Skyscraper’ singer recently dropped her bad boy boyfriend Henri Levy. The fashion designer is a known negative influence by those in Hollywood.
Henri is even being sued by a former employee for mistreatment. In court documents, Levy’s accuser claims that his ex-boss used stolen credit cards to fund his glamorous lifestyle and even buy drugs.
Insiders claim that Demi’s mom was paramount in getting her daughter to drop the uncouth designer much like she dropped her bad habit.
It’s great to see that Demi is on the right track.
