Britney Spears Requests Restraining Order Against Her Former Manager After Alleged Harassment
According to new reports, the singer has filed for a temporary restraining order against Sam Lutfi – her former manager! Britney Spears’ legal counsel filed the needed documents earlier today, ET confirmed.
In the legal papers obtained by the same news outlet, it is being alleged that the man has been harassing both his former employer as well as her mother Lynne!
Apparently, the harassment started last month when the singer completed her treatment at a mental health facility.
Britney accused her former manager of sending her and her family harassing texts and also commenting disrupting things online.
And that is not all! Spears’ legal team also claims Lufti tried to affect her conservatorship by making calls for ‘vigilante action’ on social media.
He also supposedly offered bribes and threatened ‘to release private information’ to the public.
The ex manager allegedly threated to share ‘trunks’ of pics of the singer and other damaging materials that he had collected during his time as Britney’s manager.
Britney’s court documents argue that his actions have affected the artists' mental health and emotional well-being in a negative way.
At this time, the request is still awaiting confirmation but if the restraining order is granted, Lofti will be legally forced to stay at least 200 yards away from her at all times.
And she is not the only one the order would protect as the man would have to keep his distance from her boyfriend Sam Asghari, her mother and children as well.
TMZ reports that he would not be allowed to talk to any of them via text or on social media either!
