Cardi B is super excited to drop a brand new album in 2019! The female emcee took to social media to chat with her followers, on Instagram Live yesterday and during the whole thing, she assured people that the speculations she would release new music in the new year are definitely right.
‘Of course it’s gonna be an album in 2019. Hopefully, I could get my album done around the same time that Invasion of Privacy came out, but I don’t know how possible that’s gonna be because I feel like I’m going to be extremely, extremely busy,’ Cardi said.
Invasion of Privacy was released back in April and was quick to go multiplatinum.
Since then, Cardi has been featured on a number of artists’ tracks, such as Maroon 5’s ‘Girls Like You, El Alfa’s ‘Mi Miami,’ and more.
That being said, ever since then, she has not dropped anything that is only hers and not a feature.
Furthermore, her art has taken a backseat to the drama going on in her private life since she and her husband of one year, Offset have split, making many headlines as the Migos star repeatedly tried to win her back.
In fact, the man’s attempts were so public that many speculated their breakup was nothing but a PR stunt!
After posting a clip in which he apologized to Cardi and begged her to take him back, Offset also went on to show up at the woman’s performance at Rolling Loud in Los Angeles with flowers and more, trying to get her to forgive him in front of all of her fans.

‘I just wanna to tell you I am sorry, babe. In person, in front of the whole world, I love you. Whatever I got to do to show you, I will,’ he said as the crowd cheered.
Cardi seemingly did not like his attempt at all and turned him back.
But then, they were spotted sharing a ski jet in Puerto Rico, fueling rumors that they’d reunited.
Cardi herself denied it, however, saying it was only physical and that she is yet to forgive her husband.
