Vicki Gunvalson will do whatever it takes to save her spot on Bravo’s Real Housewives of Orange County, even if that means rushing into a marriage with her boyfriend, Steve Lodge. Inside sources close to production claim that Gunvalson promised a wedding in exchange for a new contract next season, sparking rumors that an engagement is right around the corner.
There is no denying that Gunvalson and Lodge have grown closer over the past year. The two enjoyed a romantic vacation in Las Vegas last weekend and have bonded with each other’s families.
Lodge even brought his two granddaughters to Gunvalson’s work this week, which delighted the RHOC star to no end.
According to OK Magazine, Lodge has also bonded with Gunvalson’s family, strengthening the rumors that they are preparing to take things up a notch. This past holiday season, Lodge enjoyed some time with Gunvalson’s daughter, Briana Culberson, and her family in North Carolina.
The couple has not said anything about their rumored engagement, but it seems like the next logical step in their relationship.
The engagement talk comes on the heels of reports that Gunvalson was demoted for Season 14 of RHOC. Unwilling to give up her spot as a full-time cast member, Gunvalson reportedly told producers that she will get engaged and let them film the wedding, but only if they returned her orange.
“She saved herself with the engagement and wedding promise for Season 14,” a source dished. “Expect her to really whoop it up like never before!”

It is unclear if Lodge has already popped the big question, but he has had plenty of opportunities over the past several weeks. During their trip to the Bahamas earlier this month, Gunvalson shared a quick video of her shopping for rings in a local jewelry store. The clip sparked speculation that Steve Lodge had popped the big question to Vicki Gunvalson, though they have yet to confirm the rumors.
Production for the new season of the Real Housewives of Orange County is currently underway.
