Toni Braxton Testifies Against Airline Worker Thief Who Stole Her $1 Million Engagement Ring!
Hopefully, Toni Braxton is one step closer to getting the pricey engagement ring that Birdman gave her back in her possession. The living legend appeared in court yesterday to testify against the thief who stole her crown jewels.
TMZ reports that three people who work for an airplane cleaning company were witnesses to one man (who works for the same business) ruffling through Toni's lost bags and stealing her engagement ring, 4 watches, and two pairs of earrings -- bringing it to a total of $2.5 million worth of stolen possessions.
Braxton appeared as a victim in court and explained to the jury that she was heartbroken about the situation especially considering the fact that her jewelry still hasn't been returned!
She told cameras: 'I would love for the person to just have remorse and just turn it in.'
When asked why she didn't have the ring on in the first place, she explained that her lupus medical condition causes her to swell so before she boarded the flight she put it in a carrying case that was left on the plane.
On the upside, the singer said that if it isn't returned, Birdman will buy her another one but she would, of course, rather have the original back. Toni added that Baby wasn't happy about the situation at all.
This comes after the mom of two took to social media to beg the person who took her expensive rock to give it back with no questions asked last November on Twitter.
Toni tweeted: 'Hey @Delta I left my LV train case on my flight from JFK to LAX on Tuesday. It's been impossible to get any type of assistance from anyone in the company! Can someone let delta know I'm trying to get in contact w/them? I've tried to no avail...pls help you're my favorite airlines.'
She added an update later that read: 'Hey everyone, @delta located my LV Train Case! Yay! Unfortunately most of my jewelry items are missing...including MY ENGAGEMENT RING! Whoever BORROWED it...PLEEEASE return it!!!! I promise, no questions asked!'
Hopefully, Toni either gets her ring back or the thief gets the punishment they deserve.
