Tamera Mowry Announces She's Off 'The Real' After 7 Years In Emotional Letter
After 7 years as a co-host of the show, Tamera Mowry took to social media to announce her decision to leave The Real. It was definitely a very emotional announcement, only adding to her pain of losing her good friend, actress Naya Rivera.
In fact, earlier today, Tamera Mowry posted a very heartbreaking tribute to the former Glee actress who lost her life due to drowning in a lake.
Also on the same day, she went on to reveal that she will no longer appear on The Real, after no less than 7 years as one of the co-hosts.
With that being said, it must have been a really emotionally draining day for Tamera Mowry.
In the caption of her announcement she acknowledged the unfortunate timing, saying that: ‘I had NO intention of talking about this today, especially not in light of the news of my friend Naya, but some reports are coming out now and I would rather you hear it from me first.’
This came only a couple of hours after she mourned the passing of Naya, whose body was finally found after five days of intensive searches.
Tamera Mowry did not mention whether or not she was fired or quitting The Real but did mention that the exit was ‘bittersweet’ for her since if felt like her ‘home’ for so many years.
‘For 7 years my home and heart have been at The Real. The friendships that I have made there will last a lifetime, and people I have had the blessing to interview have really changed my life for the better. I am so proud of what all the ladies and I have accomplished there, including two well-deserved NAACP Image Awards and a Daytime Emmy. However, all good things must come to an end and it is with a bittersweet smile I announce that I'm moving on from The Real,’ she went on to write in her letter.
