The drama-filled relationship between Jersey Shore: Family Vacation star Ronnie Ortiz-Magro and his baby momma Jen Harley has reached a new level of insanity. In one 24-hour news cycle, the couple announced that they were back together and were packing on the PDA at the launch of his new Verge Products CBD line, and then police arrested Ortiz-Magro for allegedly hitting Harley and chasing her with a knife.
Ortiz-Magro and Harley made a joint appearance in West Hollywood on Thursday to launch his new product line just one month after they called it quits over his alleged cheating. A few hours later, the couple was walking hand-in-hand after eating out at Il Pastaio in Beverly Hills, and Ortiz-Magro told TMZ cameras that the two were officially back together.

The couple explained that they decided to ignore the advice that everyone on the planet has given them about their toxic relationship, and decided to get back together.
But, by Friday morning Ortiz-Magro was in police custody after he allegedly hit Harley and chased her with a knife. TMZ is reporting that the duo got into a “heated argument” at around 2:30 in the morning at the Airbnb they are renting in Los Angeles. He allegedly slapped and punched Harley, and she ran out of the house and screamed for help.
Harley’s screaming led to multiple 911 calls from neighbors, but it only gets worse from there. Ortiz-Magro allegedly chased after Harley with a knife in one hand and their 18-month-old daughter Ariana in the other while yelling at Harley to come back to the house.
The Jersey Shore star eventually ditched the knife and took his daughter back into the house, and then he locked the door. At this point, the police arrived, but when they told Ortiz-Magro to come out of the house, he didn’t respond.
To make sure that Ariana wasn’t in danger, police broke down the door. However, Ortiz-Magro refused to cooperate, so police tased him and took him down before arresting him and taking him into custody.
It doesn’t appear that anyone suffered any major injuries, but Harley reportedly had marks on her face.
At the product launch just hours earlier, Ortiz-Magro told E! News that MTV cameras don’t catch the real relationship he has with Harley.
“Me and Jen have a strong love for each other,” said Ortiz-Magro. “What the show portrays and what we really have for each other are two completely different things. They ask why do we stay with each other? And it’s because we know what we have is real. And at the end of the day, people don’t see what we have, they see what MTV wants you guys to see.”
Ortiz-Magro is currently in police custody and the case is ongoing.
New episodes of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation air Thursday nights on MTV.
