Even though NCIS is still going strong after more than a dozen seasons, things had seemed to be on a bit of a downslope between two prominent figures of the hit show.

Mark Harmon and Pauley Perrette have been involved in a public argument for some time now, and reports had indicated that they might take things to the next level and engage in a legal battle if the mudslinging continued.

However, CBS has put an end to the war of words between the actors -- for now. CBS Entertainment president Kelly Kahl said Perrette no longer has any concerns which is why she is back on the network.

Kelly explained: “I can’t speak to what she’s addressing in her tweets. She did come to us a couple of years ago with a workplace concern. We immediately investigated it, and we resolved it to everyone’s satisfaction.”

Perrette will be back on CBS in 2020 with a new show called Broke .

Kahl added: “We are very happy to have her on the air again this year with us. and I don’t think she would be back with us if she had huge concerns.”

The whole thing seemed to start about two years ago when Perrette announced her exit from the show to the surprise of many of its fans.

Perrette had been portraying one of the most prominent roles -- the character of Abby Sciuto, who was beloved by many for her quirkiness.

The popular actress did not initially want to reveal what had prompted her decision, although a year later she admitted that the problem was related to an incident between Harmon, his dog, and another crew member.

Perrette recalled an incident in which Harmon’s dog had attacked one of her colleagues, to which Harmon did not respond in any reasonable manner and even continued to bring the animal along for filming.

At some point, Perrette decided to call Harmon out on social media, adding more to the confusion. Many of the show’s fans seem divided over the situation, with some taking the side of Perrette.

However, others are pointing out that Harmon was likely in the right. In any case, things seemed to have cooled down.

Do you think the drama is over? Will you be watching Perrette’s new series?

I enjoyed watching her on NCIS, and TBH, I love a quirky character, in real life, but she turned me off with her persistent whining. It seemed so manufactured. It wasn't her fight to begin with, and it certainly didn't need to carry on for as long as it did.

Nope. I loved her on the show until she started all her BS. After all her complaining and carrying on (to get attention) I’m done with her. Won’t watch anything she is on.

At first I hated to see "Abby" leave NCIS, but now, I think it was probably good for the show. She's given the impression she's a bit nuts, eccentric, sqirrely, buggy, and all those other adjectives that mean just plain weird. She has come up with some wild stuff.

Her drama aside, when she made her political comments, I boycotted her indefinitely. We don't need more political opinions.

Truth! I agree. That started my disappointment with her.

I agree. She got a little to big for her britches, and forgot she wasn't the top biller on that show. She thought she was "bulletproof."

War of words between them? It was all from her. Mark hasn't been tweeting.

Nope, will not be watching Pauley P's new show or anything she's involved with. She's a whiny baby who obviously likes to stir the pot. If the incident did not involve her personally, then she had no business sticking her nose in it. And she called the guy 'her employee'. Really? Was she signing the guy's paycheck? Butt out, woman!

She was on the show all those’s years making good money. And she leaves and starts running her mouth about Mark H. If it was that bad why did she not leave a long time ago. I did like her but not anymore she mess up if you ask me.

Shes causing alot of drama, or should we say she is doing it for the attention. Or is it advertisment for her new show? I didnt care for her that much. She acted like a kid going thru puberty with the dumb things she did and her ego was huge........
