Omari Hardwick Confronted About That Infamous Beyoncé Kiss
Omari Hardwick fell victim to the Beyhive when he pulled a move that left Beyoncé's fans up in arms. The 'Power' star went in for a double kiss with Queen Bey that left her looking very uncomfortable.
The incident happened at the NAACP Awards earlier this year. Omari greeted the superstar, kissed her on the cheek, then went in for another kiss that nearly landed on her lips! The moment that was captured on camera went viral and the Beyhive was sicced on Hardwick and even caught the attention of 'Power' executive producer 50 Cent.
The cast of the Starz show appeared on 'Strahan and Sara' where Michael Strahan asked about the infamous event. Unfortunately, Omari himself wasn't able to give a response because his TV wife, Naturi Naughton, came to his defense.
"You know the [Beyhive] try to come for my boy, my TV husband. He was just being a friend. Why can’t friends kiss and hug anymore? I mean they made that way bigger, so I was there and it was so not a situation."
In other Hardwick-related news, 'Power' is ending with a 15 episode sixth season.
50 Cent confirmed in a statement: "The last five seasons of 'Power' have been an incredible ride for me and all of our supportive fans. We are far from over and I am excited to bring you more from the 'Power' brand. I am proud that I was able to put a lasting stamp on this chapter with my directorial debut in an episode that features one of the wildest scenes ever on the show."
The official synopsis for the final installment states, in part: "[Ghost is] seeking vengeance. His former drug partner and brother in arms must pay for the ultimate betrayal. Rocked to his core by the perfidiousness and cruelties of those he once called his family, Ghost devotes himself to one notion: Success is the best revenge, with all intentions of getting both."
The final season premieres August 25.
