As far as people know, Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth’s separation was mostly amicable! However, one new report claims that may not be the case!

Apparently, their unexpected split was caused by Liam’s drug use! Or, perhaps, it was Miley’s infidelity?

TMZ reports that there are conflicting stories from different sources but no matter what side they may be on, it sounds like their relationship was really sour and breakup even more so.

On one hand, insiders close to Miley claim she tried her best to save their marriage.

She even suggested to go to therapy but Liam refused.

As for the ‘deal breaker’ for her, Miley was not Okay with his excessive drinking and the ‘certain drugs’ he was consuming.

They told TMZ that Miley ‘wanted no part of it.’

In the meantime, sources close to Liam claim the drug story was just ‘designed to mask what they say really destroyed their marriage,’ which is, allegedly, ‘infidelity’ on her part!

Furthermore, these insiders suggested that Miley and Liam were not broken up before her PDA photos with Kaitlynn Carter surfaced.

Any reports of the opposite are just an ‘attempt by Miley to distract from her infidelity.’

The two were together on and off for ten years and even tied the knot eight months ago.

On August 10, a rep for Miley confirmed the split via PEOPLE, stating: ‘Liam and Miley have agreed to separate at this time. Ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals, they have decided this is what’s best while they both focus on themselves and careers. They still remain dedicated parents to all of their animals they share while lovingly taking this time apart. Please respect their process and privacy.’
