Breakups are rarely easy, especially when they happen after longtime relationships. This is the case for Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus as well, it seems!
Liam and Miley were romantically involved, on and off, for no less than a decade, so, even though their actual marriage did not last long at all, their final separation was still really painful.
In a brand new interview, the actor opened up about their separation, six months after it happened, revealing that he feels great now.
That being said, he explained how he managed to stay ‘balanced’ after going through such a split.
The celeb couple ended things, seemingly for good, back in August and it sounds like Liam is happy and in a great place in the present.
So how has he done it? Well, as it turns out, his time in the gym and also training for his Most Dangerous Game role, has really helped with taking his mind off the divorce.
This is what he revealed during his cover interview for Men’s Health Australia.
Liam mentioned that he had ‘put the trials of the last decade behind him,’ prompting the interviewer to ask about whether or not his focus is now on ‘rebuilding.’
‘Rebuilding? Yeah, that is a good way to put it,’ he responded, laughing.
Later on, he explained that ‘These last 6 months, honestly, for keeping my head level and staying balanced, I would say exercise has been really big for me. I spent most of the project just running around the streets and getting beaten up as well. But it was a great thing because it kept me moving. I was doing like, ten [kilometers] a day or something at one point, which I have never done in my life.’
And he was not the only one to claim that he’s happier than ever.
His trainer, Jason Walsh, also told the magazine that his great state of mind really helped with his fitness journey – as well as the other way around, of course!
