Kandi Burruss Explains Her Decision To Host A Dungeon Party As She Announces She's Taking The Show On The Road
Kandi Burruss' highly talked about 'Welcome to the Dungeon' party episode of 'Real Housewives of Atlanta' finally aired on Bravo this past Sunday. The singer appeared on the 'RHOA' aftershow to talk about her decision to flip the negative stigma around her into a money maker.
During the ninth season of the series, Porsha Williams spread a rumor that she heard Kandi Burruss had plans to drug her and take her to her 'Sex Dungeon' with husband Todd Tucker. The source of the gossip was revealed to be Phaedra Parks who was at one point one of Kandi's best friends.
The move subsequently got Parks fired from the show. Although Porsha and Kandi have buried their beef, you might not know that the songwriter is still feeling the backlash from fans over the nasty rumor.
After Cynthia Bailey reveals that people still ask her if Kandi has a sex dungeon to this day, Burruss responds: "Right, I don't want them to google it like 'ooo did Kandi really try to give somebody drugs' or 'did Kandi really try to do whatever' or relate any of that to a negative situation because it became so dark. That whole situation became so dark for the show and for me personally."
She went on to say: "I wanted to take that whole rumor and turn it into something that was fun and more of a positive situation meaning that I wanted to make it fun, positive, and lucrative."
Some fans completely support Kandi's tactic of flipping the situation around while other feel that she made a big deal about nothing.
No matter what the public opinion is, the Xscape singer's party was a success and she will be bringing it on the road with her. If you missed out on the Atlanta edition, Kandi will be bringing the sexy party to twelve cities.
