Is marriage still in the cards for Gwen Stefani? It looks like the answer might be no and Blake Shelton is not at all bothered by this development.

Au contraire, the country star is pretty happy with the situation and has no plans to change or shake what is not broken.

In a recent interview, Gwen confessed that going through the divorce from Gavin Rossdale was very difficult and added: "Going through all these hard times, [you] get to a place where you find somebody that's like your best friend, that you know you can depend on and trust and go through life - we're just trying to be in the moment as much as we can."

A source told Hollywood Life that Gwen is afraid to walk down the aisle a second time and went on to say: “Gwen is hesitant to get married again, but it’s something she deeply wants to do as does Blake when the time feels right. Gwen is afraid to get married because she was so hurt by the ending of her marriage to Gavin Rossdale.”

According to the family friend, the mother of three -- (Kingston, 12, Zuma, 10, and Apollo, four) -- does not feel confident enough that her marriage will work a second time.

The person revealed: “Though she knows things are different with Blake, she is scared by the entire divorce process to this day. It was really hard for her. Gwen is proud of how far she has come and knows things would be different this time around, but she’s not quite there yet.”

The insider went on to add: “Right now, she’s truly enjoying where things are at with Blake and feels no pressure to wed anytime soon, and Blake isn’t going to push her, either.”

One fan told the couple: "You guys are great together stay happy always. Looks good on you."

Another commenter shared: "Gwen doesn't pay attention to the haters out there. Some things have been rude and meant. You and @blakeshelton have an extraordinary love that just came when you least expected. That's how true love usually happens. When you are not looking. Love u both!"

Those two are engaging in a unique dance.

Gwen is a very good Catholic. It used to be that you were not a ”Catholic in good standing” if you divorced. Perhaps Gavin’s adultery allowed her to remain a Catholic “in good standing”. Also, you could not remarry in the church if you divorced. This may also be overlooked due to Gavin’s behavior. Is the fact that she is divorced (and Blake is twice divorced), and she can't remarry in the Catholic church a factor? Also, it used to be that you couldn’t be married by a Catholic priest if you both aren’t Catholic. Per the Catholic faith, you aren’t really married until you’ve been married by a priest. Maybe the Catholic church has updated its “rules”, and all of these are non-starters. I do know that when Catholics divorce, the church will grant an annulment of their marriage, in certain circumstances. I’m sure adultery is one of those circumstances. No legitimate faith approves of a man and a woman living together without being married. However, society accepts everything. Gwen would give anything to be married to Blake. He is the “stick-in-mud”. Until a man is ready for the responsibility of a wife and children, he’ll never get married. This is the real hold up. Too bad Gwen can’t get pregnant. Blake would marry her then.
