Out of the many questions fans had when the Game of Thrones series finale aired, one of them was what happened to Daenerys Targaryen's body when she was taken away by her last living dragon after being stabbed to death by Jon Snow. In the new Game of Thrones DVD series, the creators answer that query and more.

It is said that in the GOT world dragons eat their master's body after they die. When Drogon destroys the iron throne with fire and flies away with her body, Emilia Clarke was worried that that's what happened to her character.

However, disappointed Daenerys fans can take solace in the fact that Drogon did not devour her body but instead took her to her real home.

Comicbook reports that: 'Drogon was taking the Mother of Dragons back to the ancestral home of the Targaryens, Volantis. It’s where the original Targaryen dynasty was born and set out to conquer Westeros with the dragons they’d been rearing.'

The commentary also made a few other interesting revelations.

Jon Snow didn't premeditate the murder of his queen, he was forced to end her life after realizing her plans for the future.

Kit Harington explains: 'He doesn’t know he’s going to betray her until right at the end. In Jon’s head, it’s a number of [reasons: Dany] doesn’t factor in anyone else’s decisions and it also means [Dany] is going to kill my sisters, so it becomes [my] family vs. her.'

David Benioff offers insight on why Drogon torched the throne: 'If [Dany is] not going to sit on it, no one’s going to sit on it.'

The showrunners also claim that Bran will also be named king in the original books that Game of Thrones was based off by author George RR Martin.
