Dwayne Wade and Gabrielle Union have nothing but love for each other during the Thanksgiving holidays. Earlier this week, a plethora of people online came for Dwayne's 12-year-old son named Zion, however, Mr. Wade wasn't having it.

On Thanksgiving, the Bad Boys alum posted a photo on Instagram of her family including Wade, Zion, and Kaavia James Union Wade. Twitter users online, for the most part, were very positive, however, one person criticized the way Zion was dressed.

In response, Dwayne stated he has seen many hateful comments about his family following Thanksgiving, because "stupidity is apart of this world we live in - so I get it." The basketball player added that he has chosen to lead his family and no one else will fill that role.

While some haters were negative about his remark, others were very positive, including one commenter who described it as both "moving" and "powerful" that Wade and Union chose to embrace their child's individuality.

Wade has another son named Zaire, who is 17-years-old, in addition to a six-year-old son named Xavier. Earlier in the year, Union went to the Miami Beach Pride festival with their son and during a conversation with Variety in June, Wade dished on what it was like raising his children.

Wade said to the outlet that he doesn't like to talk about his son's story very much because it was his story to tell, and not Dwayne's. The NBA star said to the outlet that, as a family, it is their job to show love and support for one another.

And as a father, it's his job to support them and encourage them to go down the paths they want to in life. Moreover, Dwayne stated it was crucial to support them in whatever path they choose.

As it was previously reported, Gabrielle Union, Dwayne's wife, found herself at the center of controversy after she claimed her job was unfairly terminated on the set of America's Got Talent. Many performers in the industry praised her for speaking out.
