According to Fantasia, the fears of her fans might be true after all.

There were lots of rumors that the star might be considering quitting her touring life, and that is exactly what is going on.

She has recently confirmed her decision to give up the stage life for good and will be moving on to new things in her private sphere. What exactly those might be, she said she would be writing books, movies, and fashion.

However, the announcement still managed to generate a lot of hype online, with many of Fantasia's fans pouring out to share their thoughts on the situation, and a few are sad by the news.

Fantasia revealed that the last 16 years of touring had taken a toll on her, and she has looked forward to kicking back and relaxing in retirement from that.

However, it is very likely that she will continue to work in entertainment in at least some capacity, and while she has given various hints about what she might choose to do, her fans are still largely in the dark about that.

That has not stopped anyone from discussing the possibilities, though, and fans have seen lots of different suggestions regarding what Fantasia might choose to do in the near future.

It looks like her fans have already made up their minds about how she should proceed with her career at this point, and while it is highly unlikely that she is going to listen to any of those suggestions, it is probably reasonable to assume that she is at least paying attention.

One person shared: "Nobody wants to perform anymore. You go on stage doing what you love for 90 minutes. Come do what I do and have to perform for these white people for 8 hours straight every day!"

Another fan stated: "Touring is the GOOD money, but it'll kill them later .. y'all see even Bey chill for a long time after touring."

This music lover claimed: "No, sis! I wanna cry, I have seen her three times though, but sis just needs a break and come back on a gospel tour."

A fourth commenter shared: "These new artists get tired too easily....never heard this from Jackson 5, Diana Ross, hell ALL of the Motown Artist, Luther Vandross, Anita Baker, Patti Labelle, Isley Brothers, Earth, Wind and Fire, The Ojay’s, New Edition, Teddy Riley, Beyoncé, Hell the list goes on and on.🤷🏽‍♀️"

Fantasia will probably make some interesting moves.

I think this is a great thing for her to do. Why gain the world and lose your soul. God allowed her to do what she do to keep her bills paid, but now it's his TIME. Let go Ms. F and let God have his way. God bless you

I always felt that Fantasia has a calling on her life to sing gospel music because her voice alone can win many souls for Christ. So, I am happy for her decision. Fantasia, Give God the Glory. Love you Girl!

I love this girl. She performs so good. So real. So sorry she will not be with us anymore. I was hoping one day seeing her and Keisha Cole together and Pattie.
