Counting On stars Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald recently enjoyed a date night without their three small children – Spurgeon, 4, Henry, 2, and Ivy Jane, 9 months. The couple documented their evening on social media, and Duggar showed off her husband’s new look – a clean-shaven baby face.
During their date night, Duggar and Seewald traveled to their local Whole Foods Market in Northern Arkansas and picked up some groceries so they could make dinner together at home in their kitchen.
“Let’s be real— I live off grocery pickup most of the time,” wrote Duggar on Instagram. “But grocery shopping is never more enjoyable than when we do it together. #datenight @ben_seewald.”
On his Instagram, Seewald also posted a picture of the couple, and he wrote in the caption that they had grabbed some smoked paprika, combed the fresh produce for sales, and picked up a few bags of locally roasted coffee. He added that he loves shopping with Duggar, and he was excited to get to the kitchen so they could make something together.
While the couple highlighted their healthy meal they were making together for their date, what really got fans’ attention was Seewald’s new look. The 24-year-old shaved off his signature beard and fans couldn’t get over how different he looked.
Positive comments quickly rolled in, with one fan writing that Seewald “looks so young” with the clean shave. A second fan pointed out that the beard was gone, while a third wrote that they really liked the clean shave look.
Fans also related to Duggar and Seewald’s date night at a grocery store, with one writing that there is nothing more enjoyable than a peaceful shopping trip while the kids are with a babysitter.
Another Instagram user pointed out that shopping alone with her husband is definitely a date, and one fan shared their Valentine’s Day experience that featured a lunch date and a trip to the grocery store.
Jessa Duggar has been consistently adding content to her Instagram page and YouTube channel lately, including tips for cutting little boys’ hair, how to entertain on a budget, and making homemade pancakes with her sons.
“Kids in the Kitchen: Pancakes! 🥞Wanted to share our favorite, super easy pancake recipe! Takes less than 5 min to mix up! We make this at least 2x a week, and the boys LOVE helping,” wrote Duggar in the caption of a video that featured Spurgeon and Henry in the kitchen.
“It costs less, is healthier, and tastes better than all the different store bought pancake mixes we’ve tried! So yummy, we often eat them as a snack plain— no syrup or anything!” wrote Duggar.
New episodes of Counting On will return to TLC later this year.
