After many rumors that they are no longer together, it is now official! Becca Kufrin confirmed that Garrett Yrigoyen and she had ended their relationship, two years after getting engaged on the show.
The Bachelorette star shared the news on the latest episode of her Bachelor Happy Hour podcast and also explained how that decision came to be.
Becca admitted that it was a ‘very difficult’ and personal thing to go through and opened up about it while very emptional.
‘I don’t think it’s going to come as a shock to anyone, but Garrett [Ygrigoyen] and I have decided to end our engagement,’ she told her audience, noting that it has been a ‘roller coaster of emotions.’
But, according to her, she has finally come to terms with the split.
The reality TV star stressed that she and Garrett ‘still have love and kindness and compassion in our hearts for the other, but sometimes people’s paths go different ways.’
As mentioned before, fans have been suspicious and have been speculating about their romance for months and Becca acknowledged that.
After all, it’s been apparent looking at their social media platforms that they were spending time apart.
She explained that they did that to ‘gain some clarity as to what was the best step in our lives, whether it was together or as individuals. After many conversations, we came to this decision. It was not just something we arrived at one night. It was not based solely off of one Instagram post or someone else’s opinions or comments. There is much more to it. To any relationship, there is a lot of layers. It is not for me to divulge details. It is no one’s business other than what I am telling you right now.’
Despite their relationship not lasting, the former Bachelorette told her fans that she has no regrets and that she will always look back at what they had with ‘gratitude and love.’
