According to a report from Page Six, even though Bella Hadid and The Weeknd are no longer a thing, they're still getting along just fine. Reportedly, the 23-year-old model just celebrated her 23rd birthday in New York at Le Chalet.

Her mother, Yolanda Hadid, Anwar Hadid - her brother - as well as her sister, Gigi Hadid, were all there to celebrate the event. Dua Lipa, as well, the singer-songwriter, who's dating Bella and Gigi's brother, was there too.

However, it was the presence of The Weeknd that stirred controversy considering they had recently broken up. He reportedly surprised the supermodel and sang "Happy Birthday" to her. Bella and the 29-year-old singer drank two tequila shots together.

Additionally, sources claim The Weeknd took photographs with Bella and her friend and personal manicurist, Mei Kawajiri. The event became even more fun for the pair when The Weeknd fed her macaroons.

Earlier in the night, Bella and Gigi's brother, Anwar, chose to throw on his own playlist by plugging it into the bar's speaker system. Some of the other big names seen at the event included Justine Skye, Jesse Jo Stark, Lily-Rose Depp, Stella Maxwell, Kaia Gerber, and Joan Smalls.

As it was previously reported, Bella and The Weeknd reportedly split up near the start of August of this year. E! News was the outlet to confirm the news. Reportedly, their busy schedules were at the root cause of their split, because Bella had to prepare for her role on the runway, while The Weeknd was working on his movie with Adam Sandler , Uncut Gems.

A source who spoke with E! News back in August described "distance" as the root cause for why they chose to call off their romance.

The source stated that both The Weeknd and Bella were "in different places" not only physically, but mentally as well. The insider added that Abel and Bella had been "arguing a lot" due to their respective time apart from each other.
