The Talk 's ratings have tanked since Sharon Osbourne suddenly departed the series after controversy stemming from her support for friend Piers Morgan regarding the Meghan Markle interview with Oprah Winfrey and comments she made regarding racism in the monarchy drew nationwide attention. Sharon stated that Piers had a right to his opinion, but in this age of cancel culture, opinions that are deemed hate speech are subject to cancelation. Though cancel culture came for Piers and Sharon, it looks like The Talk is about to be canceled instead!

The Talk's ratings are so bad, they are the lowest they've ever been and people simply aren't watching the program like they used to. Things came to a head when Sheryl Underwood and Sharon Osbourne went head-to-head in a heated debate about race and their fight went viral with millions watching the clips on demand.

A source spoke to Life & Style for their May 24, 2021, issue and expressed the cast members' concern for the show's survival.

The cast and crew are all worried. People aren't tuning in like they used to. No one wants to say it, but cancellation could be on the horizon.

Sharon believes karma is doing its thing. She doesn't want the crew to lose their jobs, but there's no love lost for CBS or some of the other hosts.

With the musical chairs that has existed since Aisha Tyler exited, it was just a matter of time before the show would end. They were so hell bent on NOT being The View that they came across as scripted Stepford co-hosts. I would love to be a fly on the wall when Marie Osmond was on and left! Marie may come across as a goodie two-shoe from Utah and a wholesome family. However, I think Marie is a shark who let those ladies know that she's a 50-year showbiz veteran and not gonna play 3rd wheel to any of those Z-list "stars." I have a love/hate opinion about Sharon Osbourne. Yes, I enjoyed her hilarious comments, but I always felt her underlying racist feelings. I mean, when Kelly made that comment on The View about Mexicans cleaning their toilets, I realized she got that from somewhere. Um, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. How could you be close to Piers Morgan who is CLEARLY a racist?! He thought black Meghan Markle was obligated to return his affections as if he OWNED her. No! She wasn't interested and all hell broke loose. For years, Piers has been dragging her on-air, social media, in private, and to anyone who'll listen. It's that plantation mentality. And, because he's not allowed to "whip" her and rape her, he just pouts and blasts her at every turn. Sharon's all about it! Please cancel The Talk. I only miss Sara Gilbert. She was the best thing about that show.
