Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez starred the PBS series Barney when they were ten-years-old, and it seemed their destiny that their lives would follow similar paths. Fast forward to Disney and Demi Lovato would land the lead in Sonny With a Chance" and Selena would helm the show The Wizards of Waverly Place.  It seemed emotional issues, anxiety and depression would strike both starlets during their teen and early adult years as well. Both Demi and Selena stepped away from the spotlight (and often social media) in order to work on their own personal issues and coincidentally, both have returned to reclaim their pinnacles of success simultaneously.

Now, with Selena Gomez's hit album Rare and Demi's comeback with "Anyone" and a flawless performance of the National Anthem and the announcement that Demi Lovato will have a new album in 2020, it seems the two are indelibly linked to each other.

Fans are thrilled that both Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez have overcome what troubled them to find peace and healing. They are also very concerned that the pressures of the spotlight will once again cause them issues. A source who says they have inside information on both Demi and Selena spoke to Us Magazine for their upcoming March 9, 2020, issue and stated the following.

Speaking of Selena Gomez, the source stated the following to Us.

"It took a lot of discipline, obedience and strength to get her mental and emotional health back in a good place. She's focusing on that and her music. She's still healing."

The source also spoke about Demi Lovato.

"She's doing incredibly well on her road to recovery. Performing and reengaging with her fans gives her power over her addiction every day. She's been kickboxing doing yoga and eating healthy, and spending time with close friends who also lead healthy lifestyles."

Fans have left both Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez numerous comments of support and praise for the two former child stars.

As many look forward to the upcoming release of Demi Lovato's album, one can't help but notice that it is possible both will attend the upcoming awards season. What do you think of Demi Lovato's and Selena Gomez's comebacks?

I love Selena and loved Lovato at one time but since she has been ignoring and not acknowledging Selena...I don't have much use for her. I'm glad they are both healing and in better spaces in their lives however and hope they continue to thrive and do many marvelous things!
