Ron Jeremy Pleads Not Guilty To Rape Charges
Page Six said today that the adult film star, Ron Jeremy, p led not guilty to three charges of rape and sexual assault on a fourth woman. While wearing an orange jumpsuit, the 67-year-old, Jeremy, née Ronald Jeremy Hyatt, entered his plea deal on Friday in a LA courtroom.
The formerly legendary actor is now being held in the county jail on a $6.6 million bail. It was noted by reporters that he was wearing a face mask inside of a glass enclosure.
As it was previously reported, prosecutors say Ron Jeremy raped a 25-year-old woman back in May 2014, assaulted a 33-year-old woman, and then a 46-year-old woman in 2017. Moreover, he has been accused of raping a 30-year-old woman in July, this past year.
If Jeremy is convicted on the charges, he could face 90 years in prison. Reportedly, the LA County Sheriff's detectives have been looking into Jeremy's case for the last two years, and they just presented their case in front of a judge on Monday.
Followers of the case know that Ginger Banks first went public with her sexual assault allegations in 2016. The actress has said she has spoken with 50 other women about Ron Jeremy who have recanted similar stories.
Earlier this month, Ginger Banks reportedly said she felt "vindicated" to see Jeremy finally charged with a crime. The pornographic film actress claimed she was attacked viciously for telling her story about Ron, stating that many of his friends, fans, and followers, have defended him from the beginning.
The actress explained that Ron had developed a reputation for himself as someone who would regularly assault and grope women with impunity. She claims that Jeremy has assaulted or groped so many women that if they met him and he didn't grab them, "they were in the minority."
This is the second time that the #MeToo movement has affected a porn star. Shortly before the movement began, James Deen, another male porn actor, was accused of assaulting women as well.
