Bebe Rexha has had her fill with body shamers coming at her lately, but that has not stopped her from fighting back, speaking her mind and being proud of her body.
The singer is using body positive messaging to help change the way women and young girls look at their body. Rexha hopes it will turn the harmful shaming into a more positive, complimentary conversation.
Last week she used Instagram to post a picture of her in a red two-piece swimsuit on a beach that was not photoshopped or retouched. Rexha looked fabulous, but her message was all positive, letting her followers know this is a real body, a real woman.

TMZ caught up with her the other day as she was leaving LAX to praise her Instagram post, and talk about the powerful message. Rexha used her time with the celebrity website wisely with another positive note to her fans.
“I love my body, I love this fat a#$, and I’m very proud of it. I’m over photoshop. Love your body. Don’t conform to society, because they’re gonna f$%k you up anyway. Just be you,” the 29-year-old exclaimed, happy to get the chance to speak more to her peers and fans on the hot button topic.
Bebe Rexha is proud to have a body she loves that is not perfect. However, she also knows what a struggle it can be to get to the point of loving your body. The ‘Last Hurrah’ singer has been incredibly vocal about her body issues, admitting that when she lost weight, her body image suffered.

I probably should of photoshopped my stomach and made it look flat. I probably should of photoshopped my legs to make them look thinner. I probably should of made myself look taller and Smoothed my legs. But I didn’t. Society can really fuck with you. Here is what a real woman looks like on Instagram without photoshop.
“I went through a point of really not liking myself, and I still have my moments, but I just started trying to be nice to myself and doing things every day,” Rexha shared with Health magazine.
It took her a while, but Rexha learned it is essential to love yourself, and that involves loving the way you look. She hopes her positive messages will help people learn that difficult lesson sooner rather than later and avoid the struggles she endured.
Fans have been praising the singer for her openness and honesty, as well as her empowering messaging. Rexha is quickly becoming a role model that people should be embracing. She will not stop fighting the haters with her words of empowerment and wisdom.
