The Bachelor star revealed that he has tested positive for the COVID-19 virus, which means that he was unable to spend Thanksgiving in the company of Lauren Burnham and their daughter Alessi since he’s in quarantine away from them. That being said, Arie Luyendyk Jr. decided to open up about this ‘rough’ experience!

It sounds like Arie Luyendyk Jr. wants nothing more than to hug Lauren and their child again so he’s been counting down the days until it will be safe for them to meet him again.

According to him, about ten days have already passed since the diagnosis.

‘Many of you have been wondering why we haven't done Bachelor Brunch, why we have been so absent on social media and why I am sitting like 25 feet away from the girls. It's cause I actually tested positive for COVID. It's been rough. I gotta say it's not been easy being separated. I have been on the other side of the house; Lauren's been really sweet, she's keeping me fed. She slides some food outside and I go get it,’ Arie told his fans.

Then, the following day, the reality TV celeb told his followers that he was getting tested for a second time to find out if the virus was out of his system yet or not.

Arie posted footage on IG Stories that showed the queue at the testing center and complained about the ‘insane’ wait.

‘Still waiting... rapid tests are really hard to come by here (everyone is out of them) Had to go to an independent lab which charges $125. They do 300 tests a day and run through them before lunch,’ Arie shared.

However, at this time, the man has not updated fans on this second test’s results so it is still not clear whether or not he gets to see his family now.
