Naomie Olindo recently returned to social media to say that she missed her dad who passed away from cancer just a few months ago. The Southern Charm star revealed that her beloved pet has gone to join her dad in the sky.
The cat that she adopted with her ex-boyfriend and co-star Craig Conover has died.
She took to Instagram Stories to share photos of the cat spending time with her dad and captioned one: ‘My sweet Z went to meet my dad in the sky last night after having a massive stroke.’
She also took time to reflect on life lately. The Bravolebrity recalled one of her father’s sayings while hoping for the best for the future.
‘Life has a way of kicking you when you’re down. Don’t be a victim to it. My dad always said bad things tended to happen to our family in a sequence of three. I’m hoping after this, 2020 will be all good things from here. Just a reminder: It’s okay if your life isn’t how you pictured it would be in this very moment. It’s also okay if you’re struggling, if you’re down, and if your life doesn’t seem as perfect or as fun as some others make theirs seem to be on the Internet,” Naomie wrote. “Remember that pretending to be anything (happy, okay, fulfilled, etc.) is never the right thing. What’s more important is being truthful and vulnerable with people. That will always get you to the right place. Karma is real, struggling is normal, and talking about it is the answer.’
Joel Olindo was a France native who came from humble beginnings. After leaving Europe to come to America for a better life, he opened up a successful restaurant in South Carolina.
Olindo passed in December after fighting a year-long battle against esophageal cancer.
