Salma Hayek Joins Fight To Discover Texan Soldier
It's not uncommon for celebrities and entertainers to get involved with varying kinds of activism and philanthropy, and Salma Hayek is just one of them. Page Six reported today that Salma is now fighting to find the army soldier who went missing on a Texas military base.
Salma says she'll be sharing her photo on social media every single day until she is found. Salma has been raising awareness about the soldier who went AWAL. Private First Class Vanessa Guillen was last seen on the 22nd of April at Fort Hood.
The news organization, KHOU, reported that Vanessa left behind several of her key items and belongings, including her wallet and car keys. Her family says that she disappeared under "suspicious circumstances."
Hayek wrote on her IG that her mother, Gloria, has said repeatedly that a sergeant was sexually harassing her. Vanessa later reported him, as did other women, but none of their accusations were taken seriously. The Dogma actress went on to say that she was going to share her photo every day until she's found.
The Army Criminal Investigation Command has offered a $15,000 reward for anybody who has information about her sudden disappearance.
Colonel Ralph Overland said to reporters from KHOU that she was a "valued member" of their division, and they'll continue searching until they find her.
Fans know that Salma Hayek has been shocking the world with her beauty and her work ever since the early 1990s. She first started receiving acknowledgment by the industry in the 1990s, including films like From Dusk to Dawn , starring Quentin Tarantino and George Clooney.
Earlier this year, Charisse Van Horn picked up on a social media post from the actress in which she showed off her bathing suit photo to her 14.7 million followers on Instagram. Fans in the comment section were taken aback by the fact she's in her early 50s now.
Back in March of 2019, Salma Hayek sat down for an interview in which she spoke about her decades-long marriage to Francois-Henri Pinault. The actress said to Town and Country that she wouldn't share how she met him because she didn't want to "vulgarize" the story to make herself seem "interesting."
