Safaree Has Something To Say About The Man Who Killed George Floyd
According to the latest reports, it seems that the ex-officer who killed George Floyd was charged with murder in Minneapolis. The former police officer has been arrested following the death of the unarmed man.
BBC notes that Derek Chauvin, who is white, was shown in footage kneeling on 46-year-old George Floyd's neck this Monday. He and three other officers have been arrested and, as you probably know by now, 'days of looting and arson in the Minnesota city have boiled over into nationwide protests.'
This case managed to reignite the US anger over police killings of black Americans.
A lot of celebrities have spoken about the case showing their rage and disgust. Safaree also has something to say.
'I looked this up and this really happened!!! I hate how America is run. This isn’t the home of the free! Y’all police are some cowards!!' Safaree posted.
Someone said: 'He’s not even gonna get Convicted..harsh reality ..they already saying they don’t have enough evidence ..with a whole recording,' and another follower said: 'Let’s not forget! But let’s also not feed into the divide...Hispanics and whites are protesting with you! That’s what we should be posting we are stronger together! It’s US against THEM (you know who them are)'
A commenter wrote: 'He wasn't resisting in the first place he was full compliance,' and someone else said: 'Safaree a wartime.., when they see us, they don’t see humans.'
One other follower said: 'This police department needs to be held accountable!!! This clearly shows they're taking care of their own.'
Somoene else wrote: 'Man he got to go home and not charged and the other 3 need to be charged with him too !!!! Our state is hurting and it’s crazy here in Minnesota.'
Hennepin County Prosecutor Mike Freeman said his office 'charged this case as quickly as evidence has been presented to us.'
He continued and said: 'This is by far the fastest that we've ever charged a police officer.'
According to the criminal complaint, Chauvin acted with 'a depraved mind, without regard for human life,' BBC notes.
