Joe Giudice And Mike Sorrentino Are Twinning With Their Prison Weight Loss And Fans Are Here For It
Both Joe Giudice and Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino are free men after serving prison sentences for bankruptcy fraud and tax evasion, respectively, and fans can’t get over how much the two men look alike after losing weight in prison. Both men appear to be happy and healthy in their post-prison pics, and fans are here for it.
The Federal Bureau of Prisons released Sorrentino in September after he served eight months, and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) released Giudice from a Pennsylvania detention center on Friday, October 11, and put him on a plane to Italy where he will wait for the decision in his deportation appeal. Giudice served three years in federal prison and more than six months in an ICE detention center.
Joe’s oldest daughter Gia posted a new pic of her dad on Instagram over the weekend, and Sorrentino showed up in the comments section to support his fellow reality star after his incarceration.
“The comeback is always greater than the setback,” wrote Sorrentino. “Sending positive vibes.”
Both Giudice and Sorrentino lost some serious weight while behind bars, but on different terms. While Sorrentino knew he was going in serving just eight months, he had a plan to hit the gym regularly and eat the best he could with the food he had access to so he could look his best when walking out of the prison gate.
On the other hand, Giudice has been living in deplorable conditions in the ICE facility, with no access to healthy food or regular workout facilities. His lawyer, James Leonard, told Us Weekly that the 47-year-old is thrilled to be out of prison “more than words can describe.”
“We are still fighting and it is his desire to return home to the United States to be reunited with his family,” said Leonard.
Now that pics are showing up on social media of Giudice and Sorrentino, fans have noticed that the two men look incredibly similar.
“Holy s–t why does Joe Giudice look like The Situation I’m so confused,” one person tweeted. And, podcast hosts Two Judgey Girls posted a side-by-side pic of the two men on Instagram and wrote, “We are having a SITUATION.”
Sorrentino revealed on It’s Happening With Snooki & Joey that he feels fantastic after losing 40 pounds behind bars. It’s not clear how much weight Joe Giudice has lost, but it might just be in the triple digits.
