Anna Faris Admits Her Competitiveness Was Part Of The Reason Why Her Chris Pratt Marriage Failed
Anna Faris is a competitive person and while she would usually see that as one of her qualities, she admitted that it's not always the best for relationships! That being said, during a Question and Answer session with fellow actress Gwyneth Paltrow, Anna opened up about her first two marriages and why they ended up failing!
While on Gwyneth's Unqualified podcast, the two stars talked about their failed marriages and Anna was not afraid to admit that she might have had some part of the blame.
As far as she is concerned, 'My two other marriages were with actors and I don’t think we did a great job at eliminating competitiveness. Or at least, I did not, being a proud person and not wanting to reveal that vulnerability.'
Before getting engaged to her current beau, cinematographer Michael Barrett, Anna was married to Ben Indra and Chris Pratt .
'Any hint of competitiveness or comparison, I didn’t handle that well very well, I don’t think. And I hope I’ve grown from that,' she explained.
Anna Faris began seeing Ben in 1989 after meeting on a movie set.
They went on to get married in June of 2004 but not even three years into their marriage, she filed for divorce.
Then, very similarly, she met Chris Pratt on the set of Take Me Home Tonight and in June of the following year, they got engaged.
The wedding took place in 2009 and they welcomed a son named Jack in August of 2012.
The separation happened in August of 2017 and it really shocked their fans since it really looked like things were going great.
Gwyneth, who was married to Chris Martin for about 13 years before their separation also took part of the blame for their own failed relationship.
'I really, for a long time, was choosing men and trying to work s**t out with them that I had no business even trying to do in a romantic relationship. It was work that I needed to do myself. In a divorce, I learned so much from something I wanted least in the world.'
