KUWTK: Kendall Jenner Opens Up About Her Severe Panic Attacks
In a new series for Vogue, Kendall Jenner opened up about her struggle with anxiety and panic attacks, sharing that it’s really severe! Check out what the supermodel had to say about her mental health!
There is no secret that Kendall Jenner is one of the biggest supermodels in the industry as well as a reality TV star since she was a child.
However, none of this protects her from mental health problems.
In fact, always being in the spotlight might have made it worse!
While on the first episode of Vogue’s new 4-part video series, Open Minded, Kendall shared her experience of having anxiety and extreme panic attacks from a very young age.
‘I remember being really young and having shortness of breath and going to my mom and telling her that. In hindsight, I know that that was obviously anxiety… Being overworked’s sort of what set it out of control. I have had times when I feel like I need to be rushed to the hospital because I believed my heart was failing and I could not breathe and I needed someone to help me. Sometimes I think I am dying, sometimes parts of my body will just go numb. It can be very intense and scary.’
Of course, Kendall did not forget to acknowledge her privilege given the fact that she is part of one of the most famous and richest families in the whole world but her anxiety’s as real as it can be anyway.
As a result, she hopes people will remember that she’s still human.
‘There [are] going to be people that say, ‘What does she have to worry about? What does she have to be anxious about?’ And I will never sit here and say I am not fortunate…[but] I am still a human being. And no matter what someone has or does not have, it does not mean they do not have real-life feelings and emotions. One of the most important things is to destigmatize all mental health issues,’ Kendall explained, in part.
