Lendale Johnson Teams Up With NBA Player Steve Nash For Charity
Lendale Johnson is at it again. He announced on his official Twitter account that he's teamed up with NBA All-Star Steve Nash and it's all for charity. Lendale is playing tennis at the McCarren Tennis Center and there will be plenty of games, activities, and fun for those who attend. Don't worry, proper COVID-19 safety methods are in place and you can see a video where Lendale arrived at the center wearing a face mask and had his temperature taken. Lendale is raising funds for Dr. Mandeep Singh of the John Hopkins Wilmer Eye Institution and Dr. Tsang from Columbia University. The funds raised are in support of retinal degenerative disease research and was organized by fellow tennis pro-Tsolak Gevorkian.
Lendale is making plenty of headlines as he is filming for his upcoming Amazon Prime series Deuces and Love , and he'll be filming some clips for the series while at the fundraising event. He also made headlines after Billie Jean King took to social media to praise the tennis player and activist for becoming an Athlete Ally Pro Ambassador.
