Zendaya Comes To Bella Thorne's Defense Following Explicit Photo Leak
According to BET.com, Zendaya just came out in defense of Bella Thorne following Whoopi Goldberg's criticism of Bella's choice to upload nude photos of herself online. As it was previously reported, a hacker broke into the young actress' account and threatened to leak them.
The actress went on Twitter this past Sunday to claim an anonymous person was attempting to blackmail her with intimate pictures. Rather than giving into the hacker's demands, she chose to release the images of herself as a preemptive strike.
While on The View , Goldberg criticized Bella's decision to put explicit photos on the internet, because in today's day and age, famous people, especially, have to be careful with their personal information and photos because they are frequently targets of malicious hackers.
Afterward, Bella took to her Instagram to tearfully address Whoopi's comments. One person who defended the actress was Zendaya, who, in one of the captions of the posts, said: "Just a reminder that you are strong and courageous and beautiful inside and out."
Zendaya claimed she was super proud of Bella for her decision to do what she did. "Just letting you know you're a light and I'm super proud, love you," the former Disney star remarked. Earlier today, TMZ released an interview they conducted with Bella's ex-boyfriend, Mod Sun, where the artist stated it was a bad move to release the photos.
Moreover, Mod Sun claimed Whoopi actually made some solid points, notably, that when you're in the public eye, your personal information and photos are at risk. Other stars to experience this include Jennifer Lawrence, who once claimed that anyone who saw her nude pictures was guilty of a"s*x crime."
Interestingly, it was the leaked s*x tape of Kim Kardashian and Ray J which supposedly led to the explosion of her career. Some more conspirational social media users suggested Bella might've leaked them on purpose to create controversy, in the same way, that some people believe Kim K did.
