Yo Gotti Is No Longer Suspected In Young Dolph Shooting, But Gotti's Friend Is Charged With Attempted Murder
There are new reports in the development of the investigation going on in the case of the shooting of rapper Young Dolph . After Yo Gotti was previously named as a person of interest in the case, now he has been cleared, and he is no longer a suspect.
On the other hand, his friend, Corey McClendon was arrested just shortly after the incident. He was charged with attempted murder in the shooting of Dolph in front of a hotel from Hollywood on Tuesday afternoon, September 26.
A spokesman for the LAPD, det, Meghan Aguilar, stated that McClendon was arrested just near the area where the incident took place. He was held on $1 million bail.
The investigators are still currently looking for two other men who are believed to have been involved in the whole fight with Dolph which led to the shooting.
Gotti and Dolph were both staying at the same hotel when their crews got into a fight, according to TMZ.
Aguilar detailed the incident, 'The argument between (Young Dolph) and the men escalated into a physical fight, and he fell to the ground. One of the men then pulled out a gun and started shooting. Young Dolph was struck but was able to get up and run into a local business.'
Dolph was hit multiple times and taken to the local hospital. He's in critical but stable condition, according to Aguilar.
Gotti and McClendon were previously involved in an argument with another rapper, OG Boo Dirty.
McClendon was charged in that case as well, but a few months later all charges were dropped due to the lack of enough witnesses.
This was not the first time that Yo Gotti and Young Dolph were involved in a beef. Back in February Young Dolph was targeted in a gunfire in Charlotte, North Carolina. His SUV was shot more than 100 times. It was speculated that the shooting stemmed from a rivalry between Dolph and Gotti.
