Yelp Has Stepped In To Help The Cookie Lady's Bakery From Being Tarnished By RHOA Fans
The cookie lady is getting more than she bargained for. The bakery owner is quickly learning that being on Real Housewives of Atlanta could bring both positive and negative exposure.
After her appearance on RHOA where she came to brunch to confront Tanya Sam and expose Paul Judge for allegedly telling her that he's single, fans have taken to the internet to slam her and even her infamous cookies.
Shiana White is the owner of A Haute Cookie which has been a boomin' cookie spot in Atlanta that has had mostly positive reviews until the episode aired.
The bullying has gotten so bad that Yelp has had to step in to keep the trolls from posting negative reviews based on their feelings about the show and not her actual business.
The review site posted a message that reads: 'Unusual Activity Alert. This business recently made waves in the news, which often means people come to this page to post their views on the news. While we don’t take a stand one way or the other when it comes to this news event, we work to verify that the content you see here reflects personal consumer experiences with the business rather than the news itself. As a result, we’ve temporarily disabled the posting of content to this page. You should feel free to post your thoughts about the recent media coverage for this business on Yelp Talk at any time.'
Meanwhile, White took to her Instagram to post-and-delete a comment that said: 'Thank you to the audience that is mature enough to understand my honest intentions and that can take honesty. So sorry that the rest have not experienced enough in life or are hurt people that have not yet healed.'
Shiana has added RHOA to her Instagram bio.
What do you think about the backlash the business owner is receiving?
