During a brand new interview on TIDAL’s Rap Radar podcast, Will Smith shared something very interesting. According to him, he and his wife, Jada have stopped using the word ‘married’ when talking about their relationship status. And no, that doesn’t mean they’re having a divorce – quite the opposite, actually!
‘We don’t even say we’re married anymore. We refer to ourselves as life partners, where you get into that space where you realize you’re literally with someone for the rest of your life. There are no deal breakers. There is nothing she could do — ever. Nothing that would break our relationship. She has my support ’till death, and it feels so good to get to that space,’ Will shared. Aww…
Jada has also said a very similar thing during a Sway in the Morning radio interview.
‘Here’s the thing about Will and I — [we] are family. That is never going down. It’s just not. Ever. We’re family. Take out all of that whole marriage/relationship crap, at the end of the day, Will, and I are a family. I’m going to hold him down, does not matter. All that relationship and what people think of a husband, partner, man and all that, at the end of the day, that is a man that can rely on me for the rest of his life, period,’ Jada stressed.
As any other star couple, the two have not managed to avoid the divorce rumors regardless of how strong their bond and love are.
As a result, Will has addressed the speculations in the preview for his song ‘In The Clique.’
‘Stop the divorce rumors and mind your damn business,’ the man raps.
