‘Will & Grace’ is the latest American program to now officially qualify for a second life. Ten new episodes of the popular comedy were ordered by NBC, reports Variety.
As we previously reported, like’ Gilmore Girls,’ ‘Prison Break’ and ‘Full House’, ‘Will & Grace’ will get another chance at the small screen.
Eric McCormack, Debra Messing, Sean Hayes and Megan Mullally, all of whom took part in the first 188 episodes from 1998 to 2006 have all signed in to return.
The show creators Max Mutchnick and David Kohan will write the new scripts. Director James Burrows will also be back for the new episodes.
Discussions to revive the the show began last year when the cast returned for a special mini-episode during the US presidential election to support Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton.
The shows creators have not addressed one problem that has already had fans scratching their heads. The last finale of the show jumped ahead 20 years, with best friends Will and Grace reuniting for the first time. In the future, the former roommates meet their significant others and their children.
As far as we can tell, the new episodes will take place in 2017. This should not be a big deal since TV shows have had bigger issues than time warps.
The upcoming episodes of ‘Will & Grace’ will be aired during the 2017-2018 season. However, no date has been announced yet.
