It has been over two years since Angelina Jolie filed for divorce from Brad Pratt yet the two still have not finalized their split. Both parties have expressed an interest in resolving things quickly, but, between the mudslinging and a nasty custody battle, they do not appear any closer to the end. Why can’t Pitt and Jolie stop fighting?
An inside source claims that the Pitt and Jolie are stuck because they cannot agree on a custody arrangement.
The two have focused all of their energies on hammering out a custody deal for their six kids — Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Vivienne and Knox — and have not spent any time on the other aspects of the divorce. This has led to a stalemate in the divorce that has no end in sight.

“They are kind of at an impasse at this point,” the source revealed.
According to E Online, the main source of contention is that Pitt and Jolie cannot agree on how to split time with the kids. Pitt wants joint custody of the brood while Jolie wants control over everything.
So far, Pitt is winning the custody battle after a judge awarded him more access to the kids this summer. While Jolie is on the losing end, she still thinks it is better if she has full custody of the kids.
The situation has left both sides scrambling to work out a deal. Unfortunately, neither of them is willing to budge and sources say that an agreement will not be reached anytime soon.

Once they settle the custody battle, the two will move on to the financial aspects of the divorce, which are also complicated. With so many things to work out, it is entirely possible that the divorce drags on well into 2019.
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have not commented on the rumors surrounding their divorce. The two tied the knot in 2014 and split two years later.
