It has been more than three weeks since First Lady Melania Trump made her last public appearance when she joined the President at Andrews Air Force Base to welcome home hostages from North Korea on May 10th. Just a few days later she went to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center for a kidney procedure, and we haven’t seen her since. However, she recently tweeted that she was “working hard” and “feeling great,” but some believe that the FLOTUS didn’t write it.
According to The Daily Mail, a new conspiracy theory is alleging that President Donald Trump wrote the tweet, and not Melania.
“I see the media is working overtime speculating where I am & what I’m doing. Rest assured, I’m here at the @WhiteHouse w my family, feeling great, & working hard on behalf of children & the American people!” wrote the First Lady.

But, Huffington Post compared Melania’s tweet with previous tweets from the President, and they pointed out that “working overtime” is one of the President’s favorite phrases. Add the weird grammar and syntax plus the exclamation points, and these clues have convinced many people that this is from the President.
The First Lady’s spokesperson, Stephanie Grisham, says that Mrs. Trump has been meeting with her staff on the “Be Best” initiative and is working on different projects like the annual White House congressional picnic and the Fourth of July. Grisham says that the First Lady would like to be out in public promoting her initiatives, but her health does come first.
Recently, we haven’t seen any pictures or videos of Melania working on any of her projects, and it is leading to questions about her week-long stay in the hospital and extended recovery time for an easy procedure that is supposed to have a quick recovery.
Her absence is leading to a plethora of different theories, including speculation that she has moved back to Trump Tower in New York. But, this week the President attempted to reassure the media by telling them that his wife is doing great.
A lot of people have been speculating on Melania Trump’s whereabouts in the three weeks since her last public appearance, but no one seems more concerned than comedian Michael Ian Black. https://t.co/fsOuXnIe2c

This all comes just after Mrs. Trump’s most high-profile period as First Lady. In April, she represented her husband’s administration at former first lady Barbara Bush’s funeral. She also joined her husband at their Florida estate to host the Japanese prime minister.
Melania also planned her first state dinner for 100 guests when the French president visited the White House, and then announced her “Be Best” campaign in early May in the Rose Garden. This lead to a rise in her popularity, with 57 percent of people surveyed in a CNN poll having a favorable impression of her, which was up from 47 percent in January.
Melania Trump’s friend, Paolo Zampolli, explains her absence by saying that she just wants to spend quality time with her family.
