Wendy Williams is being savage again, and this time, her victim is none other than the star social media loves the most – Selena Gomez! While other public personalities would be scared to slam someone like Gomez, the host went as far as to criticize the singer’s voice without a second thought.
According to Williams, during a recent run-in with the paparazzi, Selena sounded too meek, and she just couldn’t take it!
That being said, Wendy would really want Selena to drop the ‘baby’ act and put a little bit more ‘bass’ in it.
On her show today, Wendy brought up the interaction the superstar had with the paparazzi a week ago when she complained they were ‘scaring’ her as she was going to her car.

‘It being said that maybe…Selena Gomez might be struggling, again, with being famous. Listen to her voice… Here’s the thing, I did not think it was ‘child-like.’ In fact, it sounds like the [paparazzi] girl had the same voice. A lot of you girls think it is so cute to squeeze your voice and talk like [that.] ‘It is so childish, I am so weak,’’ Wendy said.
The talk show host went on to briefly mention the drama between Gomez, The Weeknd, and Justin Bieber before going right back to Selena struggling with being one of the biggest celebrities in the world.
‘She is very talented, I like her music. But I think she might be in over her head in today’s pop culture industry – what to dress, how late you have to be out. You got to do stuff. You just cannot sit in the house, these days. Poor thing.’
And while that may not sound like she slammed her too much, eventually, during the segment, Wendy just had to throw some more shade: ‘The thing is, if she has that same voice at 50, I am gonna punch her in the throat!’
Of course, it was not an actual threat as Wendy wanted to make it sound more like a big sister’s advice.
Kind of like ‘knock that crap off’ will you?
’Baby Talk / Baby Talk, It’s a wonder you can walk,’ Williams ended the shade with a school-yard rhyme.
In fact, she wants Selena to sound like a successful, confident woman!
She even gave newswoman Sukanya Krishnan as an example, saying: ‘That lady’s voice is everything. EVERYTHING. You gotta get a little BASS in it.’
