'Vanderpump Rules's Brittany Cartwright Opens Up About Trusting Jax Taylor After Cheating Scandal
It was the scandal heard around the world when Jax Taylor cheated on Brittany Cartwright with a co-worker last season on "Vanderpump Rules." Fast-forward to over a year later and the two are planning a Kentucky wedding.
It's already a heartbreaking time when you find out that the person that you moved halfway across the world for has been unfaithful, but imagine finding out that it was with someone you considered a friend -- in front of millions of viewers.
That nightmare came true for Brittany and, for a but, it seemed like she wasn't so sure that she'd stay with her staying beau especially after an audio tape of him putting her down went viral.
However, the two found their way back to each other and have allegedly never been better. The question that remains is how was Brittany able to put the mortifying scandal behind her?
US Weekly caught up with the soon-to-be-married couple and got the details.
Cartwright explained: "I see him every single day making efforts and he’s completely changed the way he treats me, the way he talks to me, the way he listens to me. Every single thing about our relationship is better. I know how much he’s wanting the wedding and how much he’s wanting to marry me, how much effort he’s putting into the wedding, just as much as me. I don’t know, whenever you know somebody as well as I know Jax, you can just tell."
The 29-year-old went on to say that there are still some days where she thinks of what happened in the past but it's overshadowed by the changes that her fiance has made.
Meanwhile, Taylor's excuse for his horrible behavior was that he got sucked into the Los Angeles lifestyle. He felt an automatic shift when his father died and Cartwright was there every step of the way.
"I just kind of fell into kind of a deep hole and that happens out here sometimes. You get sucked into this lifestyle. You start hanging out with people you probably shouldn’t, you start doing things you probably shouldn’t and sometimes, you know, you have to fall down to get back up. I hate to use my father as an excuse to pick myself up, [but] I don’t think I would have done it unless something happened, something traumatic needed to happen in my life, and it just so happens it was my father."
Do you think these two will last? Will you watch the new season premiering on December 3?
