Vanderpump Rules stars Tom Schwartz and Tom Sandoval have been working for over a year on their bar, Tom Tom, and now it looks like the opening is finally just a few days away. Last week, Sandoval revealed on Instagram that the bar would open before the end of the month.
Sandoval posted a pic of himself holding a beer in front of the bar’s construction site and started off his post by thanking several people – including Lisa Vanderpump and her husband, Ken Todd – for their hard work and patience in helping make TomTom a reality. He also gave shout-outs to Pandora and Jason for their hard work on the menu, designer Nick Alain, his partner Tom Schwartz for “becoming obsessed with cocktails,” and Stassi Schroeder for her Outfit of the Day holiday.
Then, Sandoval (kind of) revealed when fans could expect Tom Tom to open.
Cheers to Ken & @lisavanderpump for all their hard work & patience! Cheers to Pandora and Jason for all their hard work with menu & internal organization! Cheers to @nickalain for his all his hard work & artistry! Cheers to @twschwa for stepping up and becoming obsessed with cocktails & drink ingredients! As In Touch Weekly reports, Vanderpump gave Sandoval and Schwartz the opportunity to open their own establishment at the end of season five, and they eventually took her up on the offer. However, the project took a little bit longer than they originally expected.
In April, the 35-year-old had told Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live that Tom Tom would open at the end of May or the first of June. But, the wait seems to be almost over, since Vanderpump was reportedly seen putting the finishing touches on the bar.
Tom Tom is just down the street from one of Vanderpump’s other establishments, PUMP, and reportedly has an “industrial romantic vibe.” At the end of season six of VPR, the cast gathered to celebrate the progress on Tom Tom’s construction, but then things mysteriously came to a halt.
Schwartz and Sandoval stopped giving updates, and when they filmed a postseason special in March, Vanderpump had not cashed the two Tom’s investment checks, and Sandoval was not happy about an expensive wine refrigerator. It looked like things weren’t going well, and many fans worried about the fate of the bar.
But, they seem to have finally worked things out, and after teasing the big day for months, Tom Tom will be open soon.
New episodes of Vanderpump Rules will return to Bravo later this year.
