The group of people on “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Lisa Vanderpump’s spin-off “Vanderpump Rules” are known for their ridiculously good looks and messy workplace drama. Living so close to Hollywood puts an enormous amount of pressure on trying to look perfect and Stassi Schroeder has had enough. The Bravo star sat down with People Magazine to let haters know that she isn’t afraid to proudly display her scars.
Two years ago Schroeder went under the knife to go from breast size DDD to a regular D. Many women have this procedure done to relieve things from lower back pain to headaches.
The procedure left marks on both of her breasts and in a photo shoot, Stassi asked editors to leave those unretouched.
Schroeder told People: “I was like ‘Don’t edit out my scars.’ They’re awesome. I like being myself and I feel that everyone should embrace themselves. It’s a scar! Scars are pretty! It’s almost like a birthmark or something like that where it’s something to not be ashamed of.”
Living life in the spotlight has its ups and downs. The fear of having imperfections is something that weighs on the mind of nearly everyone on this planet.
Those insecurities have also spilled into Stassi’s personal life where she reveals she had to change her entire mindset. Instead of being embarrassed by her scars she’s decided to say “f it.”
Bodily marks aren’t the only thing she’s been embracing, Schroeder went on to say: “We live in the world of the Kardashians right now, and we have to have waist trainers and boobs and a butt, and if we don’t have a small waist with that we’re not that attractive and everything is hush hush and I don’t like that.”
We do live in the Kardashian era; however, one thing that Stassi should keep in mind is that even Kim Kardashian herself isn’t the most confident person on the planet.
In the past few episodes of “Keeping Up With the Kardashians,” Kim is struggling with the fact that pictures of her cellulite are circulating on the internet.
It just goes to show that nobody is ‘perfect’ so you might as well love the skin you’re in!
