Fans of Vanderpump Rules know that star Stassi Schroeder loves to take mirror selfies to show off the outfits she puts together every day under the hashtag #OOTD (outfit of the day), but she has taken the practice to a whole new level, thanks to her new boyfriend. Now, Schroeder has her own national holiday – National OOTD Day – and it will take place on June 30th.
According to The Daily Mail, the 29-year-old is dating Beau Clark, a commercial casting and advertising associate, and he gave her the idea to do more with one of her favorite hobbies.
“He’s constantly pushing me to do better. He was the one that was like, ‘Wait you’re always posting your outfits of the day why don’t you do something with it and make it a national holiday?”‘ Schroeder confessed.
The reality star says that her relationship with Clark is a lot different than the tumultuous one she had with ex Patrick Meagher, and Schroeder has never been happier. She says it makes her sad to look back at season six of Vanderpump Rules and watch how Meagher treated her now that she knows what it feels like when someone loves you.
Schroeder met Clark last August after she split with Meagher, and she says she feels lucky. “It’s like I can do no wrong in his eyes,” she gushed.
In addition to a supportive boyfriend, Schroeder says that her girlfriends are all behind her new holiday. But her pals Kristen Doute and Katie Maloney used to make fun of her OOTD posts “because they didn’t get” them.
Schroeder says it’s funny that they used to think it was stupid for her to take OOTD pictures in a mirror, and now when they see the infamous mirror they freak out and want to take their own picture in it. They also joke that the pressure is on to have the best outfit of the day on June 30th.
The VPR star explained that starting a website was her first step towards creating the national holiday, followed by a petition. Then she ultimately bought the holiday which now appears on the official National Day Calendar.
She posted a pic of herself with the official proclamation, and she told fans to join her in celebrating the event and be proud of their own unique style. Her plan for the holiday is to celebrate self-love and to urge people to be the best version of themselves.
Schroeder says that since now everything revolves around social media, it feels good when you post a pic of your outfit and people tell you that they love it. She adds that your outfit shouldn’t be frivolous. Instead, you should feel good and have fun.
New episodes of Vanderpump Rules will return to Bravo later this year.
