Vanderpump Rules star Jax Taylor has finally come clean and admitted he cheated on his girlfriend, Brittany Cartwright, with former Sur employee Faith Stowers. But, Taylor says they have worked through it, and the couple is now doing better than ever. But, how are they dealing with having to relive the affair by watching the events unfold eight months after it all happened?
Taylor told People Now that he is feeling a “little rough” after having to relive the nightmare, but his biggest concern is Cartwright and making sure she is okay.
“We’ve kind of weathered the storm,” he explained. “We’re still going through it … [but] we’re in a great place now — probably better than we’ve ever been. I can say the last eight months have been better than when we first started dating. But yeah, it’s never good to watch this again. My main concern is that Brittany’s okay and making sure she’s getting through this. It sucks. You can run me through the dirt, but I just don’t want her to be hurt.”
The 38-year-old also revealed that he is seeing a life coach to work through his issues and to take the steps that he needs to better himself. He said that he is going to keep trying to do better and move forward, and he is serious about Cartwright because she is all her cares about.
Even though his life is on TV, he says Cartwright is the one that makes the decisions, and their troubles are ultimately between them, no matter what anyone says. When Jax Taylor appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, the host conducted a poll asking the audience if Taylor deserves Cartwright. Only three percent responded “yes.”
According to E! News, Taylor has had his fair share of scandals during his days on VPR. The bartender’s rap sheet includes cheating on his then-girlfriend Stassi Schroeder in 2013 and getting another woman pregnant, sleeping with his best friend’s girlfriend, getting pulled over and spending four days in jail because of an old warrant, and getting arrested for stealing sunglasses from a store in Honolulu.
His latest mistake and confession has turned out not to be as bad as he thought it would be. Taylor says that he deserves the response on social media and he doesn’t care if fans drag him through the mud. The most important thing is that Cartwright is doing well.
As Bustle reports, Taylor’s cheating with Stowers came to light after the former Sur waitress told people at Scheana Marie’s masquerade party. At first, he denied it, and Cartwright said that if it is true, they would be over.
He eventually admitted to it, and the couple did take a break for a short time. But, they have now been back together for six months, and Taylor says he plans to propose soon, he’s just trying to figure out how to make it as special and romantic for Cartwright as possible.
