‘It is easier to be a parent this morning. It is easier to tell your kids that character matters. It matters. Telling the truth matters. Being a good person matters. And it is easier for a lot of people. If you're a Muslim in this country, you don't have to worry about if the President does not want you here. If you're an immigrant you do not need to worry if the President is going to be happy to have your babies snatched away, or send Dreamers back for no reason,’ the man shared.

He went on to also echo George Floyd’s words when he was killed by a policeman back in May, a tragedy that sparked massive Black Lives Matter protests all over the world.

‘I can't breathe? That wasn't just George Floyd. That was a lot of people who felt they couldn't breathe. Every day you're waking up and you're getting these tweets and you just don't know, and you are going to the store and the people who were once afraid to show their racism are just getting nastier and nastier to you,’ Van said.
